  • What will happen to your lungs if you will be exposed to smokers or if you will be a smoker?
Lungs (the passage of gas) will be dried. This can cause lung diseases.
  • What other organs, near the stomach, release chemical (enzymes) that helps digest foods? Name at least one.
    pancreas, gall bladder, liver
  • Name at least five parts of the respiratory system.
Nasal Cavity, Oral Cavity, Larynx, Trachea, Bronchi, Bronchus, Alveoli, Lungs
  • What parts of the respiratory system could be found inside the lungs?
Bronchi (bronchus), bronchioles, and alveoli (alveolus)
  • Name at least five parts of the digestive system.
Mouth, Pharynx, esophagus, stomach, large and small intestine, rectum, anus
  • What organ of the respiratory system is the green color? What is it's role?
Trachea. It is the "wind pipe", the passage of gas from the air cavities to the lungs and vise versa.
  • What is the difference between bronchi and bronchus?
Bronchi (plural) 2 branches of trachea connected to the left and right lungs. Bronchus (singular) only one branch of trachea connected to either left or right l
  • What kind of gas is needed to be inhaled by our body?
    Oxygen (O2)
  • How do bolus (foods) moves from mouth to stomach?
The bolus moves to the pharynx and then to esophagus through "peristalsis" movement. Through peristalsis, bolus is squeeze down to the stomach.
  • Explain how oxygen is mix with blood to be delivered around the body.
The alveoli (air sac) is in the lungs. Once oxygen enters, it will be diffused to the blood vessels where blood collects it, then delivers to the body.
  • What is "bolus" made of?
chewed food/ liquid intake with saliva.
  • Explain how the nutrients from the food mix with blood so it can be delivered to all parts of the body.
Many blood vessels are connected to the intestine. It catch all the nutrients from the foods which are digested by the stomach.
  • What acid in the stomach is used to digest the foods consumed by the body?
    HydroChloric Acid (HCl)
  • Describe human teeth.
Human teeth has incisors for cutting, canine for eating meat, and molars for pounding materials (food).
  • Which part of the digestive system is considered as the "food pipe"?
    esophagus or oesophagus
  • Which part of the respiratory system is considered as the "voice box"?
    Larynx
  • Explain why we MUST limit the intake of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages?
Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages reacts with the stomach acid. Regular intake of these may cause stomach infections/ problems.
  • What is the main organ of the respiratory system?
    Lungs
  • Explain why saliva is important.
Saliva keeps mouth moist and comfortable. It helps you chew, taste, and swallow food. It also fights some bacteria that may be present from things you bite.
  • What is the main organ of the digestive system?
    Stomach
