Past unreal conditional

I would have told him the truth if I had known it. (I told him the truth.)

We would have gone to the theater if we had been able to get tickets. (We went to the theater.)

If Martin had had more time, he would have driven me to the mall. (Martin drove me to the mall.)

Dana would have bought the TRX laptop if it had been on sale. (Dana didn’t buy the TRX laptop.)

If Jesus had studied law, he  wouldn't  have become a geologist.   (Jesus studied law.)
