  • Gen 3:4, 6 You will not certainly die,"the serpent said to the woman. When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye....she took some and ate it. Did the woman trust in God or follow her own will?
    She trusted in God and did not eat the fruit
    She listened to the serpent and followed her will
  • V2-3 (..woman..to the serpent) "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden but God did say 'You must not eat fruit of the tree...in the middle of the garden, or touch it, or you will die." Why does God command us despite our free will?
    God wants us to trust in his commandments
    God wants to protect us from lies
    God knows the consequences & wants to protect us
