  • What is a vertical (pointing up) axis of a graph called?
    The Y axis
  • How could we analyse this graph?
The line moves up and down. At the end the number of books sold decreases. This means no books were sold in week 8
  • How could we analyse this graph?
The line is going up. It means the height of the plant is increasing in centimeters and the plant is getting bigger.
  • How could we analyse this graph?
The line goes down. That means parent contact or meetings decrease over time
  • What does a line graph show?
    It shows changes over time
  • What does a frequency diagram show?
    It shows groups of data
  • What is the horizontal (pointing across) axis called on a graph?
    The x axis!
  • How is a bar graph different to a frequency diagram?
A bar graph has gaps between data and a frequency diagrams show a range of data in groups
