Infant Reflexes

Stepping or Walking - infant dances or walks when held just above the ground

Rooting - Helps baby to find food sources. Stimulate the reflex by brushing face.

Sucking - Helps babies to obtain food.

Moro - flinging arms outward due to being startled

Palmar/Grasp- test this reflex by putting pressure on the palm of the infants hand to initiiate a grasping of finger.

Babinski - Spreading of toes when foot is touched

Breathing - After birth the lungs need to be exposed to air.
