  • Duke: a man of very high rank in a country, or the ruler of a small independent country.
    Noun They claim to be descendants of a French duke.
  • Fly: When a bird, insect, or aircraft flies, it moves through the air.
    Verb The poor bird couldn't fly because it had a broken wing.
  • Map: a drawing of the earth's surface, or part of that surface, showing the shape and position of different countries, political borders, natural features such as rivers and mountains, and artificial features such as roads and buildings.

  • reading: the skill or activity of getting information from books.
