Is it okay to ask "WHY" an answer was given?
Yes! We will never deny you all understanding why an answer was given, but accepting the answer to "why" is also a part of accepting the answer!
If you earn negative points, is it best to A) Accept the answer, practice and earn half back? -or- B) Rip point sheet, curse, throw items
A! Take time to accept that we are struggling to use a skill, that fits into classroom expectations. Negatives are a way to reset and take accountability!
How can Accepting the Answer or Accepting No be beneficial to us?
It shows adults that we can be trusted to accept things even when the answer isn't the one we want. Trust is important to maintain relationships!
What do can we do to CALM OUR MIND AND BODIES when we feel those feelings (angry, furious, anxious, unhappy)?
Use a coping skill, take deep breath, ask why the answer was given and LISTEN to understand.

Angry. Anxious. Furious. Uneasy. Unhappy.
What is an example of a reason, someone might give us the answer "NO you may not" or "not right now"?
To keep us safe. Because that moment was not a good time. Because we have no EARNED that privilege due to our behaviors or actions.

Look at the person, say "okay".. DO NOT ARGUE.
