We use the to say what someone's job is.

We use article THE with words - station, library, cinema, pub, city, village

We DON'T use articles with World War I, World War II

We use article THE before musical instruments and dances.

We DON'T use articles with names of countries, streets, squares, bridges, parks, stations, islands, lakes and continents.

We use article a/an to talk about something for the first time.
