  • Character
    a person, animal, or thing in a story
  • Plot
    the sequence of main events of a play, novel or film.
  • Play

  • Dialogue
    When two or more characters talk with each other.
  • Script
    the written text of a play or film.
  • Act

    What actors learn and speak on stage.
  • Director
    a person who supervises the actors and other staff in a film or play.
  • Aside
    a line spoken by an actor to the audience but not intended for others on the stage.
  • Monologue
    A line spoken by one person.
  • Stage
    a raised floor or platform, typically in a theatre, on which actors, entertainers, or speakers perform.
