Arrive early (5-10 min prior to interview). Check location of interview and time you need to get there.

Consider the interview casually and informally, as if you were practicing for an interview.
DON'T
Show that you are interested in the job because it’s near your home or because of the salary.

Don’t keep eye contact.

Sit still in your seat; avoid looking for things and moving constantly.

Offer a firm handshake, make eye contact, and have a friendly expression when meeting your interviewer.

Show that you are desperate to get the job.

Look at your phone/watch to check the time and not talk too much.

Chew gum to keep nerves away.

Be honest and be yourself (your best professional self).

Be clear and specific in your answers.

Disconnect or mute your phone. It shouldn’t ring during the interview.

Take your parents/friends to the interview to get moral support.

Be rigid and keep serious all the time, even when greeting the interviewer.

You can make negative comments about previous employers/teachers… to show that you have criteria.
