What are the four different factors when we talk about the weather?
Temperature, humidity, wind, precipitation
What do we use to measure temperature, humidity, wind speed and precipitation?
Thermometer, hygrometer, anemometer, rain gauge.
What are the two different scales that thermometer can have?
Celsius scale or Fahrenheit scale
What types of precipitation can we have?
Rain, drizzle, sleet, hail or snow.
How is hail formed? What conditions do we need?
Thunderstorm cloud; height; upper part, below freezing temperature, and lower, liquid; wind. Wind pusses droplets up on the cloud, and they become hail.
What are the three types of clouds?
Cumulus (fat and fluffy; good weather); stratus (low in the sky; fog); cirrus (thinner and upper; bad weather).
What devices to collect information about the weather do you know?
Weather balloons, weather forecast centres, weather stations, weather satellites.
How can the weather affect our lives?
Economy, health, droughts, pollution...

The size and location of the place; the presence of mountains and plains; wind systems; ocean currents.
Which are the three main climate categories?
Polar, Temperature and tropical
What is the difference between polar, temperature and tropical climates?
Polar: cold all year round.
Temperature: hot summers and cold winters.
Tropical: warm all year round.
Where can we find polar, temperature and tropical climates?
Polar: North and South of the Earth.
Temperature: most part of the world.
Tropical: countries between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn.
What climates do we have in Spain?
Oceanic, Mediterranean, Mountain, Mediterranean-continental and Subtropical.
What are the differences among the climates we have in Spain?
Oceanic: rainy.
Mediterranean: high and cold.
Mountain: low.
Mediterranean-continental: very low and very high.
Subtropical: mild all year
