Apartment- a set of rooms for living in, especially on one floor of a building
Noun- I'll give you the keys to my apartment.
Bungalow- a house that usually has only one storey (= level), sometimes with a smaller upper storey set in the roof and windows that come out from the roof
Noun- There were small, white bungalows dotted over the hillside.
Cave- a large hole in the side of a hill, cliff, or mountain, or one that is underground
Noun- She was crushed in a freak accident in a cave in France.
Chalet- a small, wooden house found in the mountains and used esp. by people on vacation
Noun- with my family we rent a chalet for vacations
Cottage- a small house, usually in the countryside
Noun- They live in an idyllic country/thatched cottage, with roses around the door.
Duplex- a pair of small houses on a single floor that are joined together
Noun- In the United States it is very common to see that they are duplex
Houseboat- a boat that people use as their home, often kept in one place on a river or canal
Noun- In new orleans it is common to see houses of this type
Igloo- a circular house made of blocks of hard snow, especially as built by the Inuit people of northern North America
Noun- igloos must be quite cold inside
Log cabin- a small house made from tree trunks
Noun- the log cabin is common to see in the forest
Mansion- a very large, expensive house
Noun- The street is lined with enormous mansions where the rich and famous live
Motor home- a large motor vehicle that is designed to be lived in while travelling. It contains cooking equipment, one or more beds, and sometimes a toilet.
Noun- motor homes are rare to see in my country
Ranch- a very large farm on which animals are kept, especially in North and South America
Noun- He went to work on a ranch
Row house- a house in a city that is joined to others like it on either side
Noun- the row houses have the same architectural design just different colors
Studio apartment- an apartment that is only used to study or work
Noun- many students use the studio apartments
Tepee- a type of tent in the shape of a cone made from animal skins that was the traditional shelter of some Native Americans
Noun- it is said that the Indians lived in this type of houses
Yurt- a type of round tent with a wooden frame, used traditionally as a home by some Central Asian people, and now sometimes used for camping in Western countries
Noun- I have never seen a yurt in my country
